COVID 19 - Guidance for Youth Provision

Like so many other sectors, Berkshire Youth is watching developments as they unfold.  Currently we would suggest where possible we keep young people active.

Berkshire Youth is concerned that young people who rely on this out of school provision should still have access to a supported environment.

Berkshire Youth has a sample Coronavirus Statement that may be used for your staff teams and also a poster on hand washing that can be put up in your club.

We suggest that you advise your staff and volunteers to follow procedures for handwashing and where supplied use antibacterial hand wash throughout the session.

When using tissues, ensure that they are disposed of immediately after use.

Berkshire Youth suggests that any member of staff or volunteer who develops a new continuous dry cough or have a temperature should self-isolate for 7 days if living alone or if lives with other people should stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms.

Berkshire Youth will be continually monitoring and releasing updates to take all the necessary steps to ensure young people, staff and volunteers are the number one priority throughout this time period.

Berkshire Youth is following Government's best practice guidelines and we are discouraging informal large group meetings.  Where we can, Berkshire Youth teams will continue to support vulnerable and at risk young people for the foreseeable future.

If you need any support, please contact us.
